Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 29, 1999.

The sinister bend is canting: "kaire" refers to "left" in Lithuanian. The in Lithuania very rare Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium calceolus) grows in the area of Kairiai, hence the two flowers.
