Region : Catalonia
Province : Girona

Flaca.jpg

Official blazon

Escut caironat partit: d'atzur i d'argent; ressaltant sobre la partició una mitra de l'un en l'altre; el peu general d'or, quatre pals de gules. Per timbre, una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 23, 2001.

The mitre is the attribute of the local patron saint, St. Cyprian, bishop of Carthage (3rd century). The royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four red pales on gold) remind the royal jurisdiction above the village.
