JARVILLE-LA-MALGRANGE
Département : Meurthe-et-Moselle
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on March 4, 1950.
The red field symbolises the bloody battle of Nancy on January 5, 1477, which actually took place on the present territory of Jarville. The cross is the cross of Lorraine, as in the battle the Dukes of Lorraine defeated the Dukes of Bourgogne, who are symbolised by their symbol in the base of the arms.
