GROSSASPACH
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rems-Murr Kreis
Incorporated into : 1972 Aspach
Official blazon
In gespaltenem Schild vorne in Grün zwei schräggekreuzte goldene Beile, hinten in Gold eine bewurzelte grüne Espe.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on Janaury 13, 1959.
The two axes are derived from the arms of the Lords von Sturmfeder, who acquired the village in 1388. The aspen (Espe) is a canting element.
