Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 30, 1948.

The arms show the large Untersberg mountain which dominates the municipality. The pear tree refers to a local legend of the "Birnbaum auf dem Walserfeld" (the pear tree on the fields of Wals).
