728TH AIR MOBILITY SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE
History: Organized as 1630 Support Squadron (Transport) on 1 April 1964. Discontinued on 8 January 1966. Consolidated (8 January 1966) with the 628 Military Airlift Support Squadron, which was constituted, and activated on 27 December 1965. Organized on 8 January 1966. Redesignated as: 628 Airlift Support Squadron on 1 June 1992; 628 Air Mobility Support Squadron on 1 July 1994; 728 Air Mobility Squadron on 15 March 2001.
