STORDAL

Province : Møre og Romsdal
Incorporated into : 2020 Fjord

Coat of arms (crest) of Stordal
Official blazon
Norwegian

På blå grunn ein gull stolpe laga med duestjertsnitt.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 30, 1991.

The arms show a pale, which symbolises the forestry and furniture manufacturing in the municipality, which traditionally uses a dove-tail system to join two pieces of wood. The same symbol also indicates the strong community feeling in the villages.
