SKAUN

Province : Trøndelag (until 2018 Sør-Trøndelag)
Additions : 1965 Buvik, Børsa

Coat of arms (crest) of Skaun
Official blazon
Norwegian

Delt av blått og sølv ved palisadesnitt

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 9, 1987.

The arms are based on the four large pillars found in the lake on Børsa-øra. The four stones are most likely associated with a large grave-field dating from the period 500-1000 AD.
