Origin/meaning
The arms combine the arms of the former rulers of the city (city rights 1260). The first quarter shows the red deer of the Packów family. The second quarter shows the deer antler of the Biberstein family. The third and fourth the arrow and dog of the Promnitz family. The meaning of the W is not known. The arms as such are used since the 18th century.
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
