History:Formed at Anarda Road, India in January 1943.
Official blazon
A cobra Or entwining two gun barrels in saltire proper.
Motto: Silentier in medias res = Silently into the midst of things.
Origin/meaning
The Cobra is indicative of activation in India and also of silence and deadlines. The Gun Barrels symbolises the Two Guns armed Beaufighter with wich the Squadron was equiped. The badge was granted in November 1946.
