AUEL

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Rhein-Lahn Kreis (until 1969 Loreleykreis)
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Loreley

Wappen von Auel/Arms (crest) of Auel
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 23, 1985.

The red lion is taken from the arms of the former Katzenelnbogen county, to which the village historically belonged. The house is the former town hall and now used as a fire brigade station. It is a typical landmark of the village. The lower part shows a leaf and a wavy bar, sor the forests and fields in the municipality.
