The arms were proposed in 1994 and I have no information whether the arms are officially adopted.
The arms are those of the Lords of Boffles, who ruled the village in medieval times. The first to be mentioned was Jehan de Boffles in 1217. The family remained in possession of the estate until the 16th century.
