Arms of Ottensheim

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 4, 1533.

The arms show a fortified city in the colours of the Rabenhaupt family, who recieved the Ottesheim Castle in 1527. The deer antlers are the alledged arms of the Lords von Wilhering-Waxenberg who founded the castle and village in early medieval times.
