ILLE-ET-VILAINE
French | D'hermine à deux pals ondés d'azur. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms show the ermine shield of Bretagne, the area to which the province historically belonged. The two wavy pales are the Couesnon and Vilaine rivers running through the province.
