Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1923.

The arms are canting; the wavy bend symbolises the Lein river, the small church stands for the -zell part of the name. A Zell is a small church belonging to a monastery, Leinzell was probably founded in medieval times by monks from the Ellwangen abbey.
