Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 20, 1980.

The arms show an owl, taken from the arms of the Herwart von Hohenburg zu Possenhofen und Pöcking, Lords from 1595-1668. The red ans silver colours are those of the Rosenbusch family and the Counts of La Rosé, Lords of Pöcking in the 16th and 19th century respectively.
