Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1937 and are canting. The roe (Reh) and castle (Burg) are canting symbols and are taken from the arms of the city of Rehburg. The waves in the base of the arms symbolise the spa in the town. Bad Rehburg was founded in 1690 as a small spa near the city of Rehburg. After 1800 the spa started to grow rapidly due to the discovery of a sulphur spring.
