Official blazon
Origin/meaning
Wallensen received city rights in 1351 from the Lords of Homburg. The oldest seal dates from the same time and shows a city wall and the local church. On the roof of the church the lion of Homburg is seen. The present composition of a city wall with three towers appears in the 17th century.
