Wappen von Wackernheim

Official blazon

(de) In Gold der schwarze Reichsadler.

Origin/meaning

The village was a free Imperial village and thus was entitled to use the Imperial eagle. The eagle appeared on the oldest known seal of the village, known from 1586-1760.

Below the arms as shown in 1955, with an additional W to distinguish the arms from many other arms with the imperial eagle. This proposal was not adopted by the municipality.
