WESTMALLE-ZOERSEL

Split into : 1839 Westmalle (1977 Malle), Zoersel

Van lazuur beladen met een klimmenden leeuw van goud.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 6, 1819.
The two villages formed an Estate until 1793. The estate was since 1738 a possession of the Powis family, and the red lion on a golden field was the arms of the Powis family.
