Origin/meaning
The red cross on silver is the arms of the Diocese of Trier. The palm leaf is the symbol for St. Stephanus, hist patron saint. The red colour refers to blood and being a martyr. The plough is a canting symbol, Ackermann (field-man) means farmer.
