History: Formed at St Omer, France 8 December 1914 from the HQ Wireless Unit.

Motto: Per noctem volamus
Origin/meaning
The Badge is based upon a Device previously used. The Motto translates as ”Throughout the Night we fly”. The Badge was approved November 1936.
