Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1938.

Karsava town developed in the 18th century. In 1860 the railway St. Petersburg-Warsaw was built, and the Karsava station was a big impulse for further development. In 1928 city rights were granted.

The four cloverleaves are a symbol of vitality and wealth.
