673RD COMMUNICATIONS SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Designated as 1979 Airways and Air Communications Service Squadron, and organized, on 20 October 1951. Redesignated as: 1979 Communications Squadron on 1 July 1961; 1979 Information Systems Squadron on 1 October 1984; 1979 Communications Squadron on 1 November 1986. Inactivated on 1 May 1991. Redesignated as 673 Communications Squadron on 14 December 2009. Activated on 24 June 2010.
