1ST ALLIED AIRBORNE ARMY

History: This Army was active August 1944 - 1945. It consisted of the US XVIII Airborne Corps (three later four Airborne Divisions) and the British 1st Airborne Corps (two British Airborne Divisions and a Independent Polish Parachute Brigade).
