CURTIS E. LEMAY CENTER FOR DOCTRINE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted Air Force Doctrine Center, and activated as a field operating agency of the United States Air Force, on 21 July 1993. Status changed from a field operating agency of the United States Air Force to a direct reporting unit of the United States Air Force on 24 February 1997. Status changed from a direct reporting unit of the United States Air Force to a subordinate of Air Education and Training Command on 1 October 2006. Redesignated: Air Force Doctrine Development and Education Center on 1 August 2007; Curtis E. LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education on 1 May 2008.
