History: Formed as North Front on September 26, 1939 and re-titled on January 27, 1967.

Issuant from from water barry wavy in base proper a key Or wards upwards and to the dexter.
Motto: Guard the gateway.

Origin/meaning

The badge symbolises Gibraltar as the Key to the Mediterranean. It was granted in April 1956.
