2ND SPACE OPERATIONS SQUADRON, US SPACE FORCE
History: Constituted as 2 Surveillance Squadron (Sensor), and activated, on 16 Jan 1962. Organized on 1 Feb 1962. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 1 Jan 1967. Redesignated 2 Satellite Control Squadron on 16 Jul 1985. Activated on 1 Oct 1985. Redesignated 2 Space Operations Squadron on 30 Jan 1992.
