History: Formed on April 11, 1938.

A lion rampant triple qued collared with a chain detached therefrom.
Motto: Strength is freedom.

The Lion is from the Arms of the nearby Town of Stamford. The Triple queued tail alludes to the three Wing and three Commands that have been part of the Station's history.
