THE ROYAL HIGHLAND FUSILIERS (PRINCESS MARGARET'S OWN GLASGOW AND AYRSHIRE REGIMENT), BRITISH ARMY
History: Formed 20th January 1959 by the amalgamation of the Royal Scots Fusiliers and The Highland Light Infantry (City of Glasgow Regiment).
Regimental Headquarters: 518 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
Official blazon
A grenade in gilt thereon the monogram HLI and ensigned with the crown in silver plate.
Origin/meaning
The Grenade allude to the Royal Scots Fusiliers and the Monogram HLI to the Highland Light Infantry.
