Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1991.

The second and third quarter show the arms of the Lords von Arnim (011a.wsa.jpg) who lived in the area for over 500 years and played a major role in the local economy and development.

The first and fourth quarter show elements from the local castle and refer to the medieval settlement from which the village developed.
