Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 6, 1937 and again on January 7, 1994.
The upper half shows the Machnow-lock in the Teltow Canal. It is a typical landmark in the village. The base shows three wall-hooks, taken from the arms of the Von Hake family , who lived in the village from around 1400 until 1945, and played a major role in the development of the village.
