Origin/meaning

The windmill is the local windmill, which is a typical landmark of the village. The trefoil is a symbol of agriculture, but the symbol was also used in the arms of the medieval Lords of Siedenburg. The base shows the bear claws of the Counts of Hoya, as the area historically was part of the County Hoya.
