Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on October 27, 2006.

The ram is a canting symbol (baran), but also taken from the arms of the the founders of Baranów, the Radziejowski family of the Junosza family clan. The arms of the Junosza also show a silver ram with golden horns in a red field on a green base.

The bases shows the emblem of the Bogoria family arms, which are used as a symbol for the city and county of Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
