St Andrew's Cross, thereon the Lion of Sctoland; on the cross above the lion a scroll inscribed "London", and on the cross below the lion a scroll inscribed "Scottish"; the lion, cross and scrolls within a wreath of thistles, th lion and centre portion of the cross upon a circle inscribed "Strike sure S. Africa 1900-02". In silver plate for officers and in white metal for other ranks.
