Selected collector's items from Germany:

MÜNCHWEILER AN DER RODALB

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Südwestpfalz
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Rodalben

Wappen von Münchweiler an der Rodalb

Official blazon

(de)

Origin/meaning

The village historically belonged to the Amt Gräfenstein of the Duchy of Baden and partly to the County Hanau-Lichtenstein. The arms thus show the bend of Baden and the chevrons of Hanau. The monk (Mönch) is a canting element and also refers to the Hornburg and Wadgassen abbeys, which both had some possessions in the village.
